OPEN HOUSE and HEALTH FAIR: UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center | Erie

Join us on Sunday, Aug. 10 for an open house at the new UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center in Erie!*
Stop by from 4 to 5:30 p.m. during the Fourth Annual Wayne Community Health Fair,† which we’re sponsoring in collaboration with BUILD CDC. You can see our new facility, meet UPMC Health Plan mascots Will and Gabi, receive FREE health screenings, speak to a UPMC Pathways to Work recruiter, and learn about our community partners’ services!
The fair is a family-friendly event that will span the East Avenue neighborhood of Erie. In addition to our open house, it will feature activities and vendors at Erie Center for Arts and Technology, plus a FREE 814 concert in Wayne Park at 5 p.m.!
*The center will officially open on July 31.

UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center will serve UPMC Health Plan members and all individuals and families of Pittsburgh’s East End communities.
Services will include:
- Customer service for UPMC Health Plan members.
- Virtual health care.
- Assistance for individuals and families interested in UPMC Health Plan products and services.
- Food pantry offerings (limited operation).
- Workforce development programs through the UPMC Pathways to Work program.
- Referrals to social and supportive resources.

Virtual Health Education Advisory Committee events
The Health Education Advisory Committee (HEAC) was created to help us better understand your needs. Events are held quarterly to talk with you about health care and health education topics. During the pandemic, UPMC for You has held virtual events for members.
Where to go for the right care at the right time
Listen to a discussion with our guest host, former Pittsburgh Steeler Charlie Batch! You’ll learn about finding high-quality care when and where you need it. Knowing all your options can help you make the best choice based on your needs. You’ll learn:
- What your nonemergency care options are and when to use them.
- What qualifies as an emergency and when to go to the emergency room.
